Westminster Square adding value with Microsite M

Posted on 01/07/2016 by Salman Hannan

At MyLondonHome, we invest heavily in marketing, as we want to ensure we reach the largest audience of potential clients possible.  Back in 2007, we decided to venture into microsites; we knew that many clients, especially those from overseas, often didnt know where to go when they were looking to sell or let their property.

Each microsite is dedicated to a major development, within which we sell and let a significant number of properties.  As we take you on a tour of our microsites, you will see the magical power they have to engage our clients and add value to our service.

Westminster Square

Built in 1998, this is a quaint, peaceful development located in the heart of our capital city. Perfect for those who wish to live in Central London but are looking for a bit of peace and quiet too.  The development comprises of four buildings: Walpole House, Palmerston House, Churchill House, Chamberlain House and 134 spacious apartments.  Westminster Square is striking from the moment you arrive, with its grandiose Georgian doors; it has a traditional feel that is charming and comforting.  As a resident you are blessed with two landscaped gardens where you can enjoy a the sun under the pagoda, spend an afternoon on one of the many benches enjoying a good book, or just take a moment to enjoy this rural retreat.

The surrounding area has experienced vast regeneration with an array of delicious cafes and boutiques, including a niche gramophone shop and the highly-recommended Greensmiths Deli.  Those looking to live in Westminster Square can enjoy the benefits of a 24 hour concierge and secure underground parking.  The apartments range in size, from studios up to 3-bedroom apartments, and each kitchen comes complete with integrated appliances and decorated with warm pastel colours.  Many of the apartments have balconies, and some have wonderful views into the courtyards below. An ideal place to enjoy living in a Central London property while enjoying the various amenities.

History

The development carries history within its walls, as each of the four buildings is named after one of our countrys former Prime Ministers: Sir Winston Churchill, Neville Chamberlain, Lord Palmerston and Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Oxford, making it a testament to the political connections of the area.

The area boasts another piece of unique history in that it houses a former station and one of the areas most interesting features, London Necropolis Railway.  Dormant for over 60 years, it was one of only two stations in the UK that travelled to Brookwood, in Surrey, transporting coffins and passengers to the worlds largest cemetery.

Community

The building reflects the traditional feel of the area, which is home to one of Londons last remaining street markets.  Westminster Square is vibrant, with the bright lights of the West End only 15 minutes away by tube, you truly are in the heart of the city.  The area is popular with MPs, as Westminster Square is within Division Belland the Houses of Parliament arejust an 8 minute dash away.  It is excellently located for getting in and out of London; it is close to Lambeth North and Waterloo mainline stationshas great bus links and ‘Boris Bikes’ are located at Lower Marsh. If you’re considering owning a property in Central London, this is the place to be.
